GOST 19903-74 Hot-rolled sheet products. Assortment

This group of assortments includes sheets made of various grades of steel. They are used to produce bent profiles and ship hulls, welded pipes and metal structures, heat exchange and chemical equipment, bodies, cars, refrigerators and other products. The use of metal sheets will allow us to find the optimal solution to increase the CMM (metal utilization factor).

There are several types of hot rolled sheets. Thus, according to thickness, they are divided into thin-sheet (0.5...3.9 mm) and thick-sheet (4...160 mm) rolled products. According to the production method, sheets are either cold-rolled or hot-rolled. They are produced in rolls or sheets.

  • Hot rolled metal sheets.
  • Produced in accordance with GOST 14637-89.
  • The assortment is recommended by GOST 19903-74.
  • The chemical composition of the metal meets the requirements of GOST 380.

Thick steel (4…160 mm)

Hot-rolled sheets of ordinary quality are produced in rolls (thickness 4...12 mm) and in sheets (4...160 mm). All these products, depending on the condition of the metal, are divided into 6 categories: from 1 to 5 - hot-rolled, 6th - hardened.

  • According to rolling accuracy, steel sheets are graded into rolled metal: increased (A) and normal (B) accuracy.
  • According to flatness, the division is as follows: especially high (PO), high (PV), normal (PN).
  • The nature of the edge divides the sheets as follows: with unedged (NO) and trimmed (O) edges.

Classification by brand

Depending on what the final product is planned, alloys are selected for the manufacture of HA sheets:

  • 08ps, 08Yu – low-carbon;
  • 09G2, 09G2S, 10HSND, 15HSND, 17GS, 17G1S – low-alloy;
  • 10, 15, 20, 30, 40 – quality;
  • St1, St2, St3, St4 – carbon;
  • 30Х, 40Х, 30ХГСА, 15ХМ – alloyed.

Carbon grades are most often chosen for the production of hot rolled sheets. After producing layers from such steel, they can be used in construction, production of aircraft parts, and mechanical engineering. Other grades are used to create sheet metal used as blanks for other types of rolled metal and hardware.

Thin sheet steel (0.5…3.9 mm)

  • Produced in accordance with GOST 16523-97
  • The range meets GOST 19903-74
  • Chemical composition of metal - GOST 380

Thin sheet steel is produced in sheets (with a trimmed edge) and in rolls (with an unedged or trimmed edge). Standardized characteristics divide it into 5 categories. into strength groups (according to minimum tensile strength (B)). For example, OK is steel of ordinary quality. The number behind the marker shows the value of the tensile strength limit. The surface quality of sheets divides them into the following categories:

  • high finishing (III);
  • ordinary (IV).

Hot-rolled two-layer corrosion-resistant sheet steel. GOST 10885

Hot-rolled two-layer corrosion-resistant sheets with a main layer of carbon or low-alloy steel and a cladding layer of corrosion-resistant steels and alloys, nickel and monel metal.

Steel sheet is divided into:

According to the thickness of the corrosion-resistant layer:

  • normal
  • increased - K

According to the continuity of adhesion of layers, classes 1 - 4. Double-layer steel sheets are made from combinations of steel grades of the main and cladding layers, indicated in the table with the “+” sign.

Galvanized thin sheet steel (GOST 14918-80)

This standard applies to sheet and coil cold-rolled steel, hot-dip galvanized in continuous galvanizing units, intended for cold profiling, for painting, production of stamped parts, utensils, containers and other metal products.

The technical level indicators established by this standard meet the requirements of the highest and first quality categories.

Subdivided:

Assigned to groups:

  • for cold stamping - ХШ,
  • for cold profiling - HP,
  • for painting (trained) - PC,
  • general purpose - OH;

According to the ability to draw (steel group XSh) into categories:

  • normal hood - N,
  • deep drawing - G,
  • very deep drawing - VG;

According to the uniformity of the thickness of the zinc coating:

  • with normal thickness variation - HP,
  • with reduced thickness variation - UR.

By agreement between the consumer and the manufacturer, galvanized steel can be produced:

  • with crystallization pattern - KR,
  • without a crystallization pattern - MT.

Depending on the thickness of the coating, galvanized steel sheet is divided into 3 classes:

Thickness classWeight of 1m2 coating layer applied on both sides, gCoating thickness, microns
P (increased)over 570 to 855 inclusiveover 40 to 60 inclusive
1over 258 to 570 inclusiveover 18 to 40 incl.
2from 142.5 to 258 inclusivefrom 10 to 18 inclusive.

Galvanized steel sheet is made with a width from 710 to 1800 mm inclusive, a thickness from 0.5 to 2.5 mm inclusive from carbon cold-rolled steel coils. For galvanizing, zinc grades Ts0 and Ts1 are used with the addition of aluminum, lead and other metals to the bath. Alloying with lead through the introduction of zinc grade Ts2 is allowed. To protect the surface from corrosion, preservation is carried out: passivation, oiling or passivation and oiling. At the request of the consumer, galvanized steel sheets are not preserved.

Example of a symbol: galvanized coiled steel 1.2 thick, 1000 mm wide, increased rolling accuracy A, with cut edge O, grade 08kp, very deep drawing VG, without crystallization pattern MT, with reduced thickness variation UR, second class coating according to GOST 14918 -80:

OTs A - O - 1.2x1000 GOST 19904-74 08kp VG - MT - UR - 2 GOST 14918-80

Thin sheet steel (up to 3.9 mm)

  • Produced in accordance with GOST 1577-93.
  • The assortment is determined by GOST 19903-74.
  • Chem. the composition complies with GOST 1050-88.

Based on the quality of finishing, such rolled metal is divided into the following groups: advanced (III) and regular (IV) finishing.

Strength groups are determined by the minimum value of tensile strength (B). For example, marking K260V means: a sheet is made of high-quality steel (K), the lower limit of tensile strength of which is 260. Thin-sheet sheets are produced from the following steel grades: 08 (kp, ps), 10 (kp, ps), St20 (kp, ps ), St25, 15(kp, ps), St30, St45, St35, St40. The sheets are heat treated and manufactured with unetched or etched surfaces. The edge can be either edged (in sheets), or unedged or edged (in rolls).
