This standard applies to wrought steels and alloys based on iron-nickel and nickel bases intended for use in corrosive environments and at high temperatures.

High-alloy steels conventionally include alloys in which the mass fraction of iron is more than 45%, and the total mass fraction of alloying elements is at least 10%, counting at the upper limit, with the mass fraction of one of the elements at least 8% at the lower limit.

Iron-nickel-based alloys include alloys whose main structure is a solid solution of chromium and other alloying elements in an iron-nickel base (the sum of nickel and iron is more than 65% with an approximate ratio of nickel to iron of 1: 1.5).

Nickel-based alloys include alloys whose main structure is a solid solution of chromium and other alloying elements in a nickel base (nickel content of at least 50%).

The standard was developed taking into account the requirements of international standards ISO 683-13, ISO 683-15, ISO 683-16, ISO 4955.

CLASSIFICATION

1.1. Depending on the basic properties, steels and alloys are divided into groups: I - corrosion-resistant (stainless) steels and alloys that are resistant to electrochemical and chemical corrosion (atmospheric, soil, alkaline, acid, salt), intergranular corrosion, stress corrosion, etc. ; II - heat-resistant (scale-resistant) steels and alloys that are resistant to chemical destruction of the surface in gas environments at temperatures above 550 ° C, operating in an unloaded or lightly loaded state; III - heat-resistant steels and alloys that are capable of operating under load at high temperatures for a certain time and at the same time possessing sufficient resistance. 1.2. Depending on the structure, steel is divided into classes:

martensitic - steels with the main structure of martensite; martensitic-ferritic - steels containing in the structure, in addition to martensite, at least 10% ferrite; ferritic - steels with a ferrite structure; austenitic-martensitic - steels having the structure of austenite and martensite, the amount of which can be varied within a wide range; austenitic-ferritic - steels having the structure of austenite and ferrite (ferrite more than 10%); austenitic - steels having an austenite structure.

The division of steels into classes according to structural characteristics is conditional and is made depending on the basic structure obtained by cooling the steels in air after high-temperature heating. Therefore, structural deviations cannot be the cause of steel rejection. 1.3. Depending on the chemical composition, alloys are divided into classes according to the main constituent element:

iron-nickel alloys; Nickel-based alloys.

High-alloy steels and alloys are corrosion-resistant, heat-resistant and heat-resistant

This standard applies to wrought steels and alloys based on iron-nickel and nickel bases intended for use in corrosive environments and at high temperatures. High-alloy steels conventionally include alloys in which the mass fraction of iron is more than 45%, and the total mass fraction of alloying elements is at least 10%, counting at the upper limit, with the mass fraction of one of the elements at least 8% at the lower limit. Iron-nickel-based alloys include alloys whose main structure is a solid solution of chromium and other alloying elements in an iron-nickel base (the sum of nickel and iron is more than 65% with an approximate ratio of nickel to iron of 1: 1.5). Nickel-based alloys include alloys whose main structure is a solid solution of chromium and other alloying elements in a nickel base (nickel content of at least 50%). The standard was developed taking into account the requirements of international standards ISO 683/XIII-85, ISO 683/XV-76, ISO 683/XVI-76, ISO 4955-83.
