There are two fundamentally different types of Egoza barbed wire: reinforced Egoza barbed tape of the crimped type - AKL Egoza, and reinforced twisted Egoza barbed tape of the twisted type - ASKL Egoza. Depending on the type of Egoza, in its design the razor tape is either wrapped or compressed around a steel core. This Egoza is much stronger than ordinary barbed wire, and, in addition, has a significantly longer effective service life due to the use of galvanized materials in the Egoza design.

Types: regular and specialized

The familiar type of classic barbed wire is made from metal thread. Its sections are woven in such a way that the pointed ends stick out on both sides. A corrugated braid is a braid woven from two such metal threads, and it is more dangerous for a potential intruder because it has twice as many pointed ends.

GOST provides for the use of soft thorn for household fencing, so it is made from annealed wire. The elastic Egoza thread is more rigid and durable, hence the metal thread of a different quality.

The thickness of galvanized steel ranges from 0.5 to 0.55 mm. The core is allowed from 2.5 to 4 mm in diameter.

Twisted Egoza barbed wire, or reinforced twisted Egoza barbed tape, has a slightly less durable design than crimped Egoza - the barbed tape simply wraps around the steel wire. ASCL Fidget, thanks to the use of non-deformed razor tape, has a more aggressive appearance, but due to the same design, it has a number of disadvantages. The design of the twisted Egoza allows you to cut the barbed tape, for example, with metal scissors, and unwind it on a certain piece of barbed wire, exposing the core.

Single core barbed wire is used to create protective barriers around the protected area. The scope of application can vary - from several strands of barbed wire stretched over a fence, to the construction of barbed wire fences or the production of Bruno spiral type barriers. The main factor determining its use for fencing is the price of barbed wire. Due to the fact that ordinary barbed wire has a lower price than other types of engineering protection, for example, than Egoza barbed wire, its use can be justified in cases where it is necessary to create very long barriers, and the requirements for protecting the territory are not too high. Otherwise, despite the fact that it is much cheaper to buy Egoza barbed wire than Egoza, it is better not to save money and buy Egoza barbed wire, which is more reliable.

Reinforced razor tape Egoza crimped type

Egoza crimped barbed wire, or reinforced Egoza barbed tape, is the most effective type of barbed wire today. AKL Egoza is a steel core made of spring or rope wire, around which a stamped razor tape made of galvanized rolled steel is pressed using special rolling equipment. After crimping the AKL Egoza razor tape, it is an almost solid structure - the razor tape is attached to the core so firmly that it cannot be separated from the wire. Moreover, compression of the razor tape increases the effective diameter of the Egoza core and increases the already greater strength of the Egoza ACL base.

Single-core corrugated barbed wire GOST 285-69 is a single strand of steel wire onto which pieces of thinner steel wire with sharp ends are wound. The core of the barbed wire has corrugations that prevent the coiled spikes from moving along the base. Single-core barbed wire GOST 285-69 is produced on automatic equipment; the material for it is non-galvanized or galvanized low-carbon steel wire.

Application of Egoza

Several types of Egoza barriers are widely used - the spiral security barrier SBB Egoza, the flat security barrier PBB Egoza and the razor mesh Egoza. There is also a mobile version of the spiral barrier - Egoza MBB, as well as other, more effective designs of Egoza barriers. Both crimped Egoza and twisted Egoza barbed wire can be used in fence designs. When used in the construction of a spiral or flat safety barrier ASKL Egoza has almost the same efficiency as the crimped AKL Egoza, but with high requirements for the protection of the territory, preference should still be given to the Egoza crimped type.
