Corvette 402

The lathe is in many ways similar to its “little brother”. Its peculiarity is that it has an asynchronous power unit. The design still provides for a low-noise belt drive and the presence of the aforementioned starter. The unit is designed in the same way as the 401 machine. Let's look at what distinguishes them.


The machine is equipped with a 750-watt electric motor, which provides a spindle speed of 1800 rpm. The distance between centers is five hundred millimeters with a hole diameter of 20 mm. In this case, the maximum processing diameter on the bed is 220 mm.

Unlike the Corvette 401 model, which has a maximum cutter holder size of 10x10 mm, the Corvette 402 lathe boasts this indicator at 13x13 mm. Of course, a more productive machine should be larger and weigh more. The weight of the Corvette 402 machine is 105 kg, and the dimensions of the assembled and packaged unit are 1050x560x570 mm.

Description of electrical equipment

The machine operates from a network with a voltage of 220 V, and can be grounded using a special plug. Operating frequency – 50 Hz. To turn on the device, you need to perform a number of simple functions:

  1. Move the rotation speed regulator to the initial position by turning it counterclockwise.
  2. Release the emergency shutdown button (move the cover to the side).
  3. Specify the direction for rotating the chuck.
  4. Activate rotation by smoothly turning the speed control to the desired speed clockwise.

Remember that the rotation speed depends on the voltage transmitted from the converter! To deactivate the device, turn the speed control counterclockwise all the way or through the emergency shutdown button. You can simply unplug the plug from the socket, but it is safest to use the first option.

Emergency shutdown of the machine should only be used in special situations. The electrical equipment of the device is protected from various power problems using a special fuse, the performance of which must be constantly monitored and changed in time.

Other models of the Corvette machine

Corvette-401

This model differs from the previous one by an electric motor with increased power (500W). All working components of the Corvette 401 are made of high-quality steel. At the same time, this device costs an order of magnitude higher than the previous one - 55-60 thousand rubles. It is 5 cm longer than the Corvette 400, but 2 cm narrower and 1 cm lower. The device operates even quieter than the 400th model and creates minimal vibrations.

As with the previous machine, the design of the Corvette 401 model provides for the creation of metric threads using a wide variety of pitches. This result was achieved through the use of replaceable gears. Like the Corvette-400, this device is reliable, compact and easy to use.

Corvette-402

The scope of application of this model is the same as that of its counterparts. It does an excellent job of facing, turning, milling, and creating threads. Drilling and chamfering work is performed on it.

It differs from previous versions with an even more powerful motor (750 W). In addition, this model has an asynchronous electric motor, which significantly increases its operating time and makes it less susceptible to overheating. In addition, the device is safer for the worker, since its design provides for a protective screen.

Despite the more powerful engine, the Corvette 402's rpm is lower than its siblings (1800 rpm). On the other hand, the machine is capable of processing workpieces with slightly larger dimensions. For example, the maximum diameter of the part above the bed is 22 centimeters, and the maximum length of the workpiece in the centers is 50 cm. At the same time, this machine is noticeably larger than previous models in size, although it can hardly be called large.

Corvette-403

This model is most similar to the Corvette 402, but differs from it in the advanced adjustment of the caliper feed (thanks to the electronic system). The technical indicators and capabilities of the machine actually duplicate the previous model. Modernization of control makes it possible to set the direction and intensity of movement of the caliper.

As in the previous model, the Corvette-403 has 6 stages of forward and reverse spindle rotation, and its maximum speed is 1800 rpm.

Corvette-407

This machine is fundamentally different from previous models not only in price (about 170 thousand rubles), but also in its focus on use in large workshops with significant production turnover. This model copes well with milling and turning work, and can grind workpieces no worse than profile machines. Increased functionality affected the dimensions of the device:
